Turas Hotels is a hospitality group based in Scotland, managing a collection of properties known for their charm, character, and genuine guest experiences.

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will work closely with our Head of Marketing in Scotland to produce creative and consistent visual materials that represent the Turas brand and its properties.

Summary of the Role

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating engaging visual content for both print and digital use, supporting marketing campaigns across all Turas Hotels properties. The role will primarily focus on graphic design, with occasional light video editing to adapt supplied footage for marketing purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Graphic Design: Design and produce printed and digital materials including brochures, flyers, posters, menus, and in-room booklets.

• Digital Assets: Create graphics for use across email campaigns, websites, and digital advertising.

• Campaign Design: Develop creative assets based on direction from the Head of Marketing.

• Brand Consistency: Ensure all work aligns with Turas Hotels’ brand guidelines.

• Light Video Editing: Edit supplied video footage (e.g., trimming, resizing, adding branding or captions) for use online.

• Photography Support: Edit and format supplied photography for marketing purposes.

• Presentation Design: Produce professional presentations and internal documents.

• Asset Management: Maintain organised and accessible design and image libraries.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or a related field.

• 2–4 years’ experience in a professional graphic design role.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva).

• Basic video editing skills using Premiere Pro or similar software.

• Strong understanding of layout, typography, and print/digital design principles.

• Experience designing digital adverts and email graphics.

Personal Attributes

• Highly creative with a strong eye for detail.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

• Able to work independently while following creative directions.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Enthusiastic about design and the hospitality industry.

Employment Details

• Type: Full-time, Permanent

• Working Hours: Office-based, Monday to Friday, standard South African business hours

• Location: Cape Town, South Africa

• Salary: R20,000.00 per month
