Introduction

Latreuo Kitchens is seeking a skilled Interior Designer / Kitchen & Bedroom Draughtsman to join our team in Brackenfell.

We’re looking for someone who combines creativity with technical expertise, taking designs from client briefs and concepts through to detailed drawings, production and installation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design customised kitchens, built-in cupboards, bedrooms, walk-in closets, vanities and bespoke cabinetry.
• Consult with clients to understand their needs, style and budget.
• Create accurate 2D technical drawings and 3D visualisations.
• Take site measurements and interpret architectural plans.
• Specify materials, finishes, hardware and accessories.
• Ensure designs are functional, cost-effective and suitable for manufacturing.
• Prepare production drawings and liaise with factory and installation teams.
• Manage design revisions, client approvals and multiple project deadlines.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in kitchen design, cabinetry, joinery, interior design or draughting.
• Proven kitchen and/or built-in cupboard design experience.
• Strong technical drawing skills and knowledge of cabinetry construction.
• Understanding of materials, hardware, ergonomics and spatial planning.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and work from site measurements.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and project management skills.
• A relevant qualification in Interior Design, Draughting, Architectural Technology or a related field is advantageous.

Software Skills

Experience with relevant design software is required. Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, 2020 Design, Winner, Cabinet Vision, Revit, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, V-Ray or Enscape will be advantageous.

Advantageous Experience

Experience in kitchen manufacturing, joinery, cabinetry, interior fit-outs, renovations or residential developments is beneficial. Familiarity with architects, developers and contractors is an added advantage.
