Job Description

  • Ensure all studio areas are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Monitor and support time management for scheduled recording sessions.
  • Perform regular checks and maintenance on studio equipment (audio and visual).
  • Manage studio inventory (microphones, instruments, software licenses, etc.).
  • Conduct pre-session setups and post-session equipment checks.
  • Implement and enforce studio policies for staff and clients.
  • Oversee AV support for in-store events (e.g., Sandton or other key stores).
  • Liaise with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
  • Assist in preparing the studio space for internal or external marketing needs

Artist Relations & Bookings

  • Respond to booking inquiries from musicians, engineers, and producers.
  • Maintain booking calendars and session schedules.
  • Ensure a smooth check-in/check-out process for clients.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with artists and collaborators.
  • Assist with mixing and mastering of artist content when required.

Team Assistance

  • Work closely with the Studio Supervisor to execute the daily workflow.
  • Support initiatives to create a positive and inspiring creative environment.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team for content capture, studio events, and brand campaigns.
  • Be proactive in identifying opportunities to enhance studio operations.

 

Qualification and Experience:

  • 1+ years’ experience in a recording studio, production house, or related environment.
  • Solid understanding of music production, mixing, and audio equipment.
  • Proficiency in DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, FL Studio) is a plus
