We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of our construction projects, with a strong focus on high-end residential builds.

The successful candidate will be responsible for site management, ensuring technical/construction excellence, meeting project timelines, and delivering top-quality workmanship.

This role requires strong technical/construction knowledge, a hands-on approach, and the ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders including tradespeople, professionals, and clients.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid South African driver’s license
  • Proven experience in high-end building projects (minimum 5-7 years)
  • Relevant construction or civil engineering qualification advantageous
  • Strong understanding of local construction regulations, NHBRC standards, and building codes
  • Competency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure build accuracy and highlight discrepancies
  • Programme, schedule and manage site works to ensure timely project delivery
  • Oversee and manage material and equipment procurement, including placing and tracking orders
  • Perform quality control checks at all stages of the build
  • Manage and maintain supplier and subcontractor accounts, ensuring clear communication and compliance
  • Coordinate trades on-site and ensure smooth workflow across disciplines
  • Monitor and manage daily work production, flagging delays or inefficiencies proactively
  • Raise and resolve technical queries with the architect, engineer, or client
  • Ensure accurate information flow between all project stakeholders
  • Implement and enforce health & safety protocols, maintaining a safe working environment
  • Attend and contribute to site meetings, reporting on progress, challenges, and solutions
  • Measure material quantities on site and assist in cost control
  • Check site setting out and levels to ensure construction accuracy
