Job Description
Make a Difference as a Business Mentor for South Africa’s Green Economy!
Are you an experienced professional in the Waste Management & Recycling, or Renewable Energy sectors? Do you want to make a tangible impact by mentoring and couching micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in South Africa’s informal economy?
Blended Business Solutions is looking for 5* dedicated Business Mentors* to join our team. This is your opportunity to shape the future of green business in South Africa while fostering sustainable economic growth in underrepresented communities.
Your Role as a Mentor:
- Provide expert guidance on formalization, green business practices, and market growth.
- Facilitate goal setting and conduct regular progress check-ins with MSMEs.
- Share your industry insights, tools, and contacts to drive operational efficiency.
- Connect MSMEs with potential clients and industry experts.
- Participate in networking events and contribute to the continuous improvement of program services.
What We’re Looking For:
- Educational Background:Â Full artisan qualification or a degree in:
Ø Green/renewable energy,
Ø Environmental management, or a related field.
Ø Commerce
- Professional Experience:Â 10+ years of experience in business development, solar PV, waste management/recycling, or similar areas.
- Specialized Knowledge:Â Those with no commerce degrees, 2+ years of expertise in green business skills.
- Language Skills:Â Proficiency in English with excellent communication abilities.
Other requirements
- Own vehicle (SARs re-imbursement rate will be used).
- Own laptop.
- Access to internet.
- Must be a South African citizen.
Remuneration
· Hourly rate of R200 – R300 depending on individual experience.
