Job Summary:

The Confirmations and Authorisation Clerk is responsible for verifying patient information, obtaining insurance authorizations, and confirming appointments for radiology services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


Required Skills

  • Medical Aid Authorizations: 1 to 2 years
  • Data Capture Administration: 1 to 2 years
  • Icd-10: 1 to 2 years

Candidate Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

– Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and contact details
– Obtain authorizations from insurance companies for radiology procedures
– Confirm appointments with patients and ensure they understand the necessary preparations
– Communicate with referring physicians to obtain necessary documentation or additional information
– Maintain accurate records of authorizations, appointments, and patient information
– Assist in answering phone calls and addressing patient inquiries
– Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations

Requirements:

– High school diploma or equivalent
– Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in radiology or imaging
– Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Working Conditions:
