Location: Spier Wine Farm, Stellenbosch Company: Segway Vineyard Tours Type: Full-time, On-site (3–6 month contract with potential for permanent placement) Salary: R10 000 – R15 000/month (Temp) | R20 000/month (Permanent)

🎯 Role Overview
We’re seeking a proactive, experienced, and highly organized Hospitality Receptionist to lead our Outdoor Experiences Team. This hybrid role combines front desk operations, reservations, and team leadership, with occasional tour guiding.
This is a full-time, on-site position with potential for permanent placement. Ideal for someone from a hospitality background looking for daytime hours (8:30–17:30). Start date: immediate.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a small team of outdoor guides
- Manage bookings, invoicing, and client communications
- Oversee daily tour operations and staff scheduling
- Ensure excellent customer service and safety standards
- Assist with tours when needed (must be physically fit)
- Create and manage staff rotas and shift schedules
- Report directly to the owners and work independently
✅ Requirements
- 2–3 years in hospitality reception or similar role
- 2–3 years in team leadership or management
- Strong admin, organizational, and customer service skills
- Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Outlook
- Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor activities (Segway tours)
- Must live within 20–30 min of Spier Wine Farm with own reliable car
- Available weekends and public holidays (including Christmas & New Year)
- 8 days off/month (Mon–Thurs)

- 4–5 star hospitality environment
- Outdoor activity-based roles
- Fast-paced, multitasking environments
- HR experience (scheduling, disciplinaries)
- Familiarity with ActivityBridge booking software
- Tour guiding experience
- Degree/diploma in Hospitality, Business, or Marketing
- Digital or social media marketing skills
- Passion for farm life and sustainable agriculture
💪 Physical Requirements
- Must be physically active and able to ride Segways on off-road terrain
- No injuries or impairments to knees, ankles, hips, back, arms, etc.
- Weight limit: must not exceed 85kg
