Job Description

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Label Designer to join a dynamic team within the agricultural and export industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and enhancing label templates across various systems and printer types. This role requires both technical and creative skills to ensure labels meet client requirements, industry standards, and export regulations. Entry-level candidates with a Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, IT, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and update label templates using Report Designer.
  • Ensure label compliance with international export regulations and client specifications.
  • Collaborate with IT and Operations teams to support seamless label integration.
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy across multiple printer technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve label-related issues.
  • Liaise with clients and industry authorities to remain up to date on labelling standards.
  • Support multi-language label design and localization.
  • Document label specifications and manage version control.

 

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Knowledge of label design software and printing technologies.
  • Familiarity with barcode standards (GS1, QR codes, Data Matrix).
  • Basic scripting knowledge (VBScript/JavaScript) for dynamic label generation.
  • Strong design sense with a focus on clarity, compliance, and usability.
  • Understanding of agricultural export regulations and packhouse operations is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
