Job Detail

Aids artisans with the assembly of machines, installation of machines, and testing and ensures that they

are safe and comply with safety regulations. Ensures that equipment and machinery are positioned

efficiently and correctly in factories to ensure a minimum downtime. Identifies and repairs problematic

parts of a machine by applying repairs or installing new parts. Replaces older machines with new ones.

Achieves preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn-out

pieces, and lubricating mechanical parts. Moves mechanical parts with machinery or equipment, such as

forklifts.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist engineers and artisans with maintenance work
Assist with general site, plant and building maintenance
Perform minor repairs on machinery, changing light bulbs and fix leaking pipes.
Erecting scaffolding when necessary and if trained and appointed to
Performing welding and hot work tasks and if trained and appointed to
Keep workstations and working areas neat and tidy
Keep hand tools in good working condition and report any damaged hand tools
Ensure the safe usage of Power Tools and equipment and ensure any defects are reported to the supervisor or management
Assist the company with any additional appointed duty in relation to health and safety
Assist the company in filling out necessary paperwork and taking necessary readings on equipment, water readings, etc.
Comply with lock-out procedures
Assist in moving any machinery
Work in areas that may be at a relative height as well as confined spaces
Adhere to company health and safety rules and regulations
Adhere to company quality and food safety rules and regulations
Additional Ad hoc duties such as lubrication of machines etc.
