Job Description
📍 Location: Sandton, Johannesburg Metro, Gauteng
Job Type: 12-month contract, Full-Time Reference: NCPMO120925
🧭 Key Responsibilities
1. Organisational Project Management Governance
- Develop and maintain OPM frameworks to align projects with strategic goals.
- Manage confidential information and ensure proper disclosure protocols.
- Establish decision-making processes across portfolios, programs, and projects.
2. Portfolio Management
- Centralized oversight of project portfolios to meet business objectives.
- Measure project benefits (monetary or qualitative).
- Conduct high-level resource capacity planning.
- Develop business cases to justify project viability.
3. Project/Program Management
- Apply PMBOK® principles across all project phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure.
- Ensure integration across programs and manage interdependencies.
4. Software Systems
- Provide functional support for project management tools (not technical support).
- Tools include:
- PMIS (e.g., PPO, Project Online)
- Portfolio Management Software
- Scheduling Tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
- Reporting Tools (dashboards, monthly reports)
- Document Management (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint)
- Risk Management Systems (e.g., CURA, SAP GRM, Excel)
5. Project Support
- Generate project documentation per organizational standards.
- Administer meetings, workshops, and logistics.
- Maintain configuration records and consolidate progress reports.
- Manage resource pool assignments and resolve conflicts.
- Maintain a lessons-learned database for knowledge sharing.
- Review project manager adherence to methodology and policies.
🎓 Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- Strong grasp of project management methodologies and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in project management and team leadership
