Teaching children aged 3-4

Responsibilities

Create a safe, warm, and engaging classroom environment.
Implement age-appropriate lessons, themes, and activities aligned with the school’s curriculum.
Maintain consistent routines that support independence and emotional security.
Guide children through conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and social interactions.
Work collaboratively with the assistant teacher to manage the class effectively.
Communicate openly with parents regarding progress, concerns, and classroom updates.
Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and professional development.
Uphold all safeguarding, health, and safety standards.

A recognised teaching degree or early childhood qualification (minimum requirement).
Proven teaching experience with early childhood age groups (specifically 3–4 years).
Strong classroom management skills.
Knowledge of play-based learning and age-appropriate teaching methods.
Experience in curriculum planning, weekly preparation, and activity structuring.
Understanding of emotional development in early childhood and the strategies required for positive guidance.
Kind and caring, yet confident in maintaining firm, healthy boundaries.
Ability to work harmoniously with an assistant teacher and communicate effectively.
A natural team player, willing to collaborate within a group and support the broader school environment.
