Job Description
Red Ant – situated in Ceres, has been supplying innovative agricultural solutions and equipment to Southern Africa for over five decades.
PROCUREMENT OFFICER
Reid & Verwey is looking for the services of a Procurement Officer with an appitite for cost saving initiatives and a proven track record of building procurement structures. This position is based at our Ceres offices.
Responsibilities:
- local and international procurement duties
- stock forecasting and lead time management
- supplier sourcing and price negotiation
- build and upkeep of procurement database
- assist with stock take proceedingsmanagement support as required.
Candidate Requirements
Skills and experience required:
- good computer literacy (MS Office, Pastel, Ritesoft)
- above average MS Excel Literacy
- minimum 5 years experience in similar role
- proven track record (examples) of cost saving initiatives.
Qualifications:
- relevant post matric diploma/degree
- valid driver’s license
- reliable transport to and from work.
