Job Description
Our client, a leading player in the banking sector, is seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer to join their dynamic technology team in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Salesforce solutions that support critical banking processes, customer engagement, and digital transformation initiatives.
This role requires strong technical expertise in Salesforce development, integration, and customization, with a proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable and secure Salesforce solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy customized Salesforce solutions to support business processes in the banking sector.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.
- Implement best practices in Salesforce configuration, coding, and integration.
- Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and LWC (Lightning Web Components).
- Build and manage complex workflows, process automation, and approvals.
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems (banking platforms, APIs, middleware, etc.).
- Ensure security, data integrity, and compliance with banking and regulatory standards.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and performance optimization of Salesforce applications.
- Provide technical documentation, user training, and ongoing support.
- Stay current with Salesforce updates, features, and industry trends relevant to financial services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 6+ years of Salesforce development experience, preferably in financial services/banking.
- Salesforce certifications (Developer I & II required; Platform App Builder, Administrator, or Architect advantageous).
- Proven experience in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components (Aura & LWC).
- Strong background in Salesforce integration (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware like MuleSoft, etc.).
- Solid understanding of Salesforce security, sharing rules, and role hierarchies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices for Salesforce.
- Knowledge of banking processes (loans, credit, customer onboarding, compliance, etc.) is highly advantageous.
- Agile/JAD experience working in cross-functional teams.
