Job Description
We require a Trade-Tested Carpenter for building and renovation work across the Western Cape. The role includes first- and second-fix carpentry, accurate set-out from drawings, and clean finishings on both occupied and new-build sites.
Key responsibilities
- Read drawings, measure, and set out accurately
- Install doors, frames, locks, skirtings, architraves, cupboards, shelving
- Build/install partitions, ceilings, bulkheads, trims
- Undertake roof work (trusses/rafters) and timber framing as required
- Formwork/shuttering and basic concrete edge boxing (when needed)
- Snag clearing and handover-ready finishings
- Maintain housekeeping and attend toolbox talks
- Coordinate with the Site Agent; supervise a helper when assigned
- Record daily work and basic material usage
Minimum requirements
- Trade Test Certificate in Carpentry/Joinery (Red Seal or equivalent)
- 1–5+ years site-based carpentry experience
- Able to read drawings and work to tolerances
- Own basic hand tools (power tools advantageous)
- SA ID or valid work permit; clear criminal record
- Willing to travel within the Western Cape
- Driver’s licence advantageous
- Start date:Â 1 October 2025
