About Us

Their commitment to fast, reliable service has made them an essential partner to forecourts, stores, schools, and pharmacies across the Western Cape and beyond. They are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join their Finance team and support the Financial Manager in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and contributing to the smooth operation of the department.
Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Accountant at RTMS, your role will include:
- Assisting with monthly financial accounts, reconciliations, and processing journal entries.
- Handling accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate reconciliations.
- Assisting in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements.
- Reconciling bank statements and preparing audit working papers.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and tax calculations.
- Maintaining fixed asset registers and calculating depreciation.
- Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly management reports.
- Assisting with petty cash, stock counts, and ad hoc accounting projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: BCom degree in Accounting/Finance (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA a plus).
- Experience: 3–5 years as a Junior Accountant (FMCG industry experience preferred).
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Advanced Excel: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Experience with accounting software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Other: Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
