Job Description
Purpose of the Role:
-
Prepare and support annual financial statements and project accounts.
-
Manage budgets, variance analysis, and general ledger integrity.
-
Oversee fixed assets, inventory, VAT/SARS submissions, and audits.
-
Provide accurate reporting to stakeholders (e.g., DHET, SARB, Stats SA).
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Financial Accounting or Auditing.
-
±6 years’ experience in financial accounting & reporting, including:
-
Financial statements, reconciliations, audits.
-
Budget preparation & variance analysis.
-
General ledger management.
-
VAT preparation & compliance.
-
Supervisory experience (min. 2 years).
-

Advanced Excel & accounting systems knowledge.
-
Experience in Higher Education VAT/statutory reporting is an advantage.
Remuneration:
-
Basic Salary: R693,760 p.a.
-
Cost to Company: ~R902,270 p.a.
