🚀 Senior HR Officer – Immediate Opportunity

Our listed client is urgently seeking a seasoned Senior HR Officer to deliver full-spectrum Human Resources support. This role demands a well-rounded HR generalist with strong administrative, advisory, and compliance skills.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment: advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, onboarding.
  • Oversee HR and payroll administration using SAGE 300 People.
  • Draft/manage employment contracts, appointment letters, promotions, terminations.
  • Administer benefits: medical aid, retirement fund, staff loans.
  • Advise on employee relations: disciplinary hearings, grievances, CCMA representation.
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, and statutory reports (Employment Equity, UI-19, etc.).
  • Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Support training initiatives and assist with Employment Equity and Training Committees.
  • Stay current with labour legislation, HR best practices, and case law.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, or Psychology (essential).
  • Honours Degree is advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years’ HR generalist experience, including Industrial Relations.
  • Strong background in HR administration, recruitment, and employee relations.
  • Familiarity with job grading principles.

💼 Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in SAGE 300 People (essential).
  • Strong MS Office skills (Intermediate–Advanced).
  • Experience with online recruitment platforms (LinkedIn, PNet, etc.).
  • Excellent interviewing and administrative skills.
  • Strong communication and advisory abilities.
  • Professional handling of sensitive employee relations matters.
  • Fluency in Zulu is essential.
