Faircape Restaurant and Catering operates within Faircape Life’s luxury retirement villages, delivering high-quality, restaurant-standard meals across six prestigious Western Cape locations. Our kitchens are structured, professional environments prioritising consistency, hygiene, and operational excellence.

We are seeking a detail-driven Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations at Bridgewater Manor. This role suits a hands-on hospitality professional who thrives on stock accuracy, compliance, and structured processes, working closely with Chefs to ensure smooth, well-controlled kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock & Operations: Implement SOPs, manage stock control, conduct counts, oversee procurement, reduce wastage, maintain equipment, ensure hygiene compliance.
  • Health & Safety: Lead HACCP, conduct inspections, attend monthly meetings, ensure Department of Health compliance, report incidents.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise scullers/kitchen staff, mentor and train on SOPs and hygiene, oversee onboarding.
  • Administration: Submit accurate reports, manage assets/equipment, drive efficiency improvements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric; Hospitality/Culinary qualification advantageous
  • Food Safety/Hygiene Certification
  • Experience in kitchen/catering/food service environment
  • Proven stock control and inventory management exposure
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, Health & Safety basics
  • POS system experience advantageous
