🚀 We’re Hiring: Omni Channel Distribution Manager

📍 Location: Johannesburg (National travel required) 📂 Business Unit: Merchant Division 👤 Reports to: Chief Strategy Officer Reference: 174241

Primary Focus Design, build, and scale Lesaka’s Merchant division non‑field acquisition channels by integrating digital (eCommerce & telesales) and physical (retail, wholesale, kiosks, marketplaces) routes into a unified, low CAC distribution engine.

This role proves scalable acquisition models, optimises conversion and activation, and establishes viable channel economics to reduce reliance on field sales.

It is a founder‑mode execution role accountable for revenue contribution, acquisition cost discipline, activation quality, and channel performance visibility.

🔍 Key Responsibility Areas

Owned Direct Channels (Digital Engine) • Launch and optimise eCommerce and digital commerce (WhatsApp, social commerce) • Build telesales conversion playbooks • Define assisted vs self‑serve flows • Own CRM routing and funnel performance • Track conversion, CAC, activation, churn • Test messaging, offers, onboarding journeys • Exit underperforming funnel components

🏪 Retail & Wholesale Distribution (Physical Engine) • Secure listings with retailers and wholesalers • Structure revenue share or embedded acquiring agreements • Manage retail device listings and activation performance • Develop wholesale distribution models for informal markets • Design kiosk pilots using hub‑and‑spoke model • Launch marketplace listings (Takealot, Amazon, Makro) • Monitor sell‑in, sell‑through, activation economics • Align partnerships to strategic priorities • Present proposals to Executive Committee

🔗 Omni Channel Integration & Governance • Maintain unified merchant acquisition funnel • Standardise onboarding and activation playbooks • Define handover processes to field/support teams • Establish channel dashboards • Remove friction in onboarding and activation

💰 Commercial & Unit Economics Discipline • Own channel‑level CAC and blended CAC performance • Track channel revenue contribution • Improve conversion‑to‑activation ratio • Reduce time‑to‑activation • Monitor churn and retention • Provide weekly/monthly performance reporting

🚀 Pilot, Scale or Exit Framework • Launch pilots with defined success criteria • Validate economics before scaling • Scale viable models responsibly • Exit or redesign underperforming initiatives • Inform long‑term structural decisions

💡 Key Competencies • Strong commercial acumen • Execution excellence with measurable outcomes • Data‑driven decision making • Deep channel strategy and design capability • Stakeholder influence and collaboration skills • High operational rigour and process discipline • Adaptability in fast‑evolving environments

🎓 Experience & Qualifications

Minimum: • 8–10 years in distribution, GTM execution, or channel‑led acquisition • Proven experience building/scaling acquisition channels • Understanding of conversion funnels and unit economics • Experience across digital and physical routes to market • Hands‑on experience launching new commercial models

Preferred: • Exposure to fintech, payments, telecoms, devices, or merchant services • Experience in informal/township markets • CRM‑based lead management and reporting • Retail distribution or wholesale sales models • eCommerce and Omni Channel experience

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Economics, or related field required • Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) advantageous
