Strategic Growth Director – Fintech (JHB or CT)

Global Payments Infrastructure Firm

We’re hiring a strategic leader to manage and grow relationships with our largest enterprise clients ($100k+/month). You’ll be the primary point of contact, driving retention, expansion, and strategic alignment across the client lifecycle.

🚀 Role Scope

Client Success & Retention

  • Own post-signature client journey and ensure long-term success
  • Build consultative, high-touch relationships across client teams
  • Develop success plans and drive strategic stakeholder engagement
  • Identify client needs and deepen alignment proactively

Commercial Growth

  • Analyze performance and product usage to identify growth opportunities
  • Drive adoption, upsells, and cross-sells using data insights
  • Monitor transaction volumes and engagement to improve utilization
  • Recommend and execute expansion strategies

Product Enablement

  • Deliver strategic expertise and product education
  • Monitor product performance and escalate blockers
  • Guide clients on implementation and integration best practices

Service Excellence

  • Oversee SLA adherence and issue resolution
  • Track support tickets and ensure internal alignment
  • Foster a proactive, responsive service culture

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Sales, Legal, Product, Support, Finance, Data, Fraud, and C-Suite
  • Align internal teams on client strategy and delivery
  • Manage stakeholders to support client success

🧠 Must-Have Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in consulting, investment, product, or related field
  • Strong commercial and sales acumen
  • Outstanding analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Fintech or startup experience is non-negotiable
